Our Mission
We have now seen how oil can shoot up to $147.00 per barrel and drive the cost of
gasoline over $4.00 per gallon, in turn driving up other prices and crippling our
economy.

This has all happened at the will of others.

Our country has lost control of its destiny and it is time to take that control back.

Regardless of how you feel about energy sources, we can no longer leave our
immediate needs to be controlled by other countries.

FloridaOil.org was founded by and is operated by people that are not in the oil
industry. We have and will be conducting extensive research on drilling and
recovering oil in the Gulf of Mexico.

We will be educating the public on the facts and dispelling the myths surrounding this
process.

We will also provide information on the most advanced methods of refining the
recovered product.

Our goal is to have two constitutional amendments on the ballot in Florida. One to
require the state to issue leases to U.S. Companies to drill and recover the oil in the
Gulf of Mexico, in the 25 – 125 mile range, for U.S. Domestic use only. The second is
to require the state to permit and promote the building of at least one new refinery in
the State of Florida.

We believe the citizens of Florida want this to happen even though the legislature has
been reluctant to do so. Our research has found that most of those opposed are
misinformed, so we have assembled a top notch team that are preparing to film
documentaries that will provide all of the answers.

Operations
The petition process.

We are assembling an army of volunteers to circulate the petitions needed to put
these issues on the ballot. Our goal is to collect twice the number petitions required
with our main drive scheduled for Friday July 3rd, 2009 to be known as
“Oil Independence Day.”

After collecting the petitions, our staff will organize and check the petitions to make
certain they are all valid and are not duplicated prior to submitting them to the proper
agencies for certification.
