FloridaOil.org is committed to providing the public with the information needed to make an informed decision to develop the oil industry in the State of Florida.
A keystone of the services we provide are documentary videos that will help the public understand how our lives are affected each day by this product.
We currently have the following videos under development:
• “The History of Oil, Part 1”
This film explores how life was before we discovered how to use oil to improve the quality of life. It explains the early uses, the pumping and refining methods and how it fueled the industrial revolution.
• “The History of Oil, Part 2”
This film shows how life has changed as we discovered more uses for the product. Many people think of oil as only fuel for our vehicles, but it is much more than that. This film focuses on everything other than fuel that has oil as a required ingredient and what life would be like if we ceased to use this product.
• “Economic Impact”
This film examines the amount of money that has been diverted over the years from our economy to that of other countries because of the reduction of domestic oil production. We will travel to these other countries and show what the money from our country has been used for.
• “Alternatives”
This film details alternative energy sources, looking at how they work and the feasibility of each becoming the primary source of energy using current technology. We will look at what actually goes into the current “Hybrid” vehicles and long term considerations for disposal and recycling of these vehicles. We will also examine Hydrogen power. What it takes to extract and use hydrogen and how we would meet the demand with current technologies to replace gasoline with hydrogen.
